Twelve Days of Christmas Daily Giveaway! Day 3

Thank you to everyone that emailed to let me know the comments weren't posting on Day 2. Those that emailed were entered in the contest! The correct answer to Day 2's question is An Angel Gets it Wings...such a cute movie don't you think?

Congratulations Tessa you are Day 2's prize winner. Please email me with your name and address and I'll get your prize in the mail.

On the third day of Christmas my true love gave to me three French Hens....here's today's trivia question:

Christmas songs are a big part of the holiday experience. I have so many Christmas CD's that I start listening to Christmas Music in
October! In the song "Winter Wonderland", who do
we pretend the snowman is?

(Disclaimer: Trivia questions were taken from multiple Christmas Trivia websites and answers have not been verified for accuracy. Questions are for entertainment purposes.)

It depends on which version you're listening to: In the common one it is Parson Brown, but in a more updated version I've heard, it's Mr. Snowman. :-)

I think the song has that we pretend that he's Parson Brown and also that we pretend that he's a circus clown. Love to listen to Christmas music. :)

Parson Brown...but one year our choir was going caroling and the guy who typed up the lyrics of all the song wrote "Possum Brown"! Too cute!

Wikipedia says,

"The bridge of the song contains the following lyrics:
"In the meadow we can build a snowman,
then pretend that he is Parson Brown.
He'll say 'Are You Married?' We'll say 'No man,
but you can do the job when you're in town!"
In the period when this song was written, parsons (now known as Protestant ministers) often traveled among small rural towns to perform wedding ceremonies for denominational followers who did not have a local minister of their own faith."

I'm back now.... My answer is Parson Brown, but I was surprised to learn the above history. I learn so much on or from these blogs....

I've only heard Parson Brown but some of the others sound like fun too although they wouldn't make as much sense lol.
