"That which does not kill you makes you stronger." Thank you Conan the Barbarian. At least, that's the first time I heard it, and it stuck. :-) Thanks, Lucy, for sharing this, today, it fits in well with what I've been thinking about lately.
Oooooh...Conan. "He is Conan, Cimmerian, he won't cry, so I cry for him." There's just something about a muscle-y man in a loin cloth and wrist gauntlets with a big ol' shiny sword. :sigh:
Judy...I didn't remember that from the movie, but then it's been more than a decade since I've seen it last. :)Yep, Valerie...definitely sigh worthy...now just imagine him in a kilt.
Sensory overload. LOL
That was on this past weekend!! It was funny to see him as Conan after seeing him in all his suits and ties as Gov. for so long, and they all looked SO young!! GREAT inspiration, Lucy!!
LOL Valerie...that's what I thought when I started writing him. The heroine, Sabrine...she totally agrees. ;-)Melissa...isn't it weird how life changes around us? Film icons become politicos and politicians become the fodder for reality TV. LOL
nice! No more needs to be said!
Gracious, it's been a while! Thanks, Lucy! ;)
Wowee. That was definitely a memory of a younger Arnold. Yes, it has been a LONG while since Arnold bared his buff to the media. (Not counting the pictures taken of him by the paparazzi.)Definitely will use the inspiration picture to imagine Niall. Can't wait to read it (when it is out)!
Yes, the lovely thing about inspiration is it doesn't have to be current, it just has to be relevant! :)
Where would we be without Conan in our lives? We all liked that bulging chest, so sleek and smooth. And yes, those other areas that also bulged which we gazed at but could never say aload. Come on now! We are big girl, go ahead and just say it... "It was the nice bulging well-formed package... that we call A Nice Butt!" (You thought I was gonna say something else now weren't you) You Dirty Little Minds!!! LOL!
LOL Lady_G! ;-)
