Thursday Special Contest

Thank Goodness it's Thursday! (Today is my Friday)

As promised I have another prize pack setup and ready to be sent to the next winner. In order to win you must provide me with an answer to the following question on a blog comment. I will randomly pick a winner on Monday. I will allow the winner to pick a Lucy Monroe book of their choice. I look forward to your responses.

2009 is coming up and as always we have goals and resolutions for the new year. What main goal or resolution do you want to accomplish and why?

I want to get my house organized, honestly, truly!!! We need to downsize.
We have been sorting through years of items/papers and dealing with them but still have to go through craft supplies, Christmas deco's, ceramics etc., etc. that has been around and we don't use.

I am starting to believe if you don't remember you have something that you find then it is time to get rid of it.

My main goal for next year to save more money. I'm going to have to live frugally during these tough economic times. I'm also hoping to lose those last few pounds, but I've been saying that for the last two years.

In all honesty I usually try not to make resolutions for the new year, because I am so bad at carrying through. But my goal for the new year would be get to either Lori's Get Together in June or to one of the conferences to be held. I think it would be a great time.

Wow. I haven't even been thinking about this. It's so far away. However, my resolution will probably be to finally send my book out to agents and publishers. I keep putting it off and putting it off, and I just need to do it already. :)

My New Years resolution is to get all my books organized in alphabetical order. I have them in order by authors but I still have a problem finding what I am looking for. We have turned a spare bedroom into a library. The last count I had a little over 3000 books. I just can't stand getting rid of a book after I read it. I alway's think. What if I want to go back and re-read that book. I alway's re-read books by my favorite authors.

My main goal of next year is to be more responsible with my money. I'm a big impulse buyer and I have things that I've bought that I don't have anywhere to put and my house is overflowing.

Goals? A. Find a job. A *real* job.
B. Pass the bar. Erm... c... hope I already passed the MPRE?
D. - get out Volume III Issues 1 & 2 of the IP Journal.
Oops - E. Graduate.
That's about it. Well, trying to be healthy, responsible, exercise- etc - the usual, but the listed ones are the *big* ones.

Hi Lucy! I had to think about this one because I realize that it really will soon be 2009! Like you say, they're goals not resolutions because these things I really hope to keep doing always! One would be to record more memories of our family. I remember when the kids were younger and so many pictures we took and now time so flies that we missed opportunities to have more photos and all as the time goes by so thats definitely one I want to do. The other is to get this family dinner time at the same time! At least more often. They are living with us still as they are young adults but its everyone on different schedules but too I think that I really have to make it work! I miss it! Then maybe too I'll have them around more so we can improve this house with painting and the like!

I want to remodel my kitchen in 2009. Currently, it looks horrible and needs a major facelift. I spend a lot of time in there and it would be nice to have a nicer kitchen.

Ditto what Robynl said--declutter the house! The guest bedroom is completely full, and not with guests! Yikes ;p It's driving my poor (tidy) husband up the wall!

My main goal for next year is to figure out how to use all of the programs on my PC. After all I paid for them!

I don't really make resolutions.

But, two things that I do want to accomplish next year are: clean the clutter in some rooms and lose the weight that I gained traveling for business.

I have to goals for next year:

the first is to save up enough money to be able to leave my parents house. I finally realized that it is impossible to become really happy as long as one lives here. Sad but true.

The second goal is to save up money for a trip to London. There are still some places I have to visit and I'd love to show some friends my favourite city.

Gosh! I can't believe New Year's is just a couple months away!

Well, I have been wanting to do this for a while now. I would love to take a trip to Florida. My hubby and I went there about 8 years ago with his mom, sister and kids. We had a blast! We stayed in his sister's time share in St. Augustine. I would love to go there next year or anywhere south.

Which means I need to make a resolution to get in shape! Work those muscles, lose weight, and eat healthy.

Everyone have a great weekend!
