Book Pimping...

Ain't it grand? Well, it is to me. I love sharing with you all about books that intrigue me or that I have loved reading. So this post is going to be a total pimp.

Let's start with a book that I loved reading by one of my favorite authors and which I know you are all going to adore. It's out on Tuesday, October 24 and I *know* some of you really enjoyed the first book in the trilogy. Well, the second story is going to knock your socks off...or is that the heroine's? LOL The book is Strip Tease by Kate Davies and it rocks! I got to read an ARC and it's even more delicious that Taking the Cake.

Here's a book that totally intrigued me...okay, I admit it...the whole series intrigues me. This author is also uber talented. And Heart Quest sounds like it could very well be her best book yet. Robin D. Owens has written several books in the series and don't be surprised if you find yourself tracking down the others once you've read this one.

And now for a book that I think will intrigue many of you, particularly this time of year. It is Cheyenne McCray's Seduced by Magic, a hot paranormal romance by another extremely talented and nationally bestselling author.

And keeping in line with the rest of this post, I think it's time to ask again - what really awesome book have YOU read recently?

I'm really looking forward to Kate's story.

I just finished Rachel Gibson's "I'm Not In The Mood For Love", and it gave me the butterflies in the stomach that I enjoy so much. It reminded me of her "See Jane Score" - in fact Jane is mentioned in it. I think I feel a re-read coming on....

Like Cryna, I also finished Swept Away by Toni Blake, and I loved it! Toni is wondeful at writing those hot, sensual romances and this book is no exception. I want to read every book on your list Lucy! Great minds think alike and all that lol!

I recently finished The Dragon's Choice by April Reid, which is a great fantasy. And the hottest read I've read was Colters' Woman by Maya Banks! They're both great reads and I recommend them both :-)

I'm part way through My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult and it's wonderful even though I know I'm going to be in tears. Each chapter was told in the voice of a different character which I've never encountered before but I like it!

Aw, Lucy, you're so sweet! (And what an honor, to be mentioned in the same blog post with those talented writers! Wowza!)

Thanks also to everyone who's mentioned that they're looking forward to Strip Tease. It's one of my favorites, and I hope you enjoy it!

p.s. -- Samhain just went live with this week's books, and they're on sale! Woo-hoo!

I recently read Lucy Gets Her Life Back by Stef Ann Holm. Really good book. Great hero and heroine.

I just got back from vacation, where I read About a Boy by Nick Hornby (my first Hornby book, it was lots of fun) and An Assemby Such as This, the first book in a trilogy following Darcy through the events of Pride and Prejudice. It's very entertaining, and the author, Pamela Aidan, does a fine job of echoing Austen's quick wit, and using what we know of Darcy's past to flesh out his character in interesting ways.

So many, but Take Me, and Playing With Fire- Gena Showalter top the list.

I love book pimps. I just ordered my first Lora Leigh book because of all the raves. Living on the excerpts just isn't cutting it anymore. I need the real thing, lol.

I just finished the third book, Red Lily, in Nora's In The Garden Trilogy. I also enjoyed the first two books, Blue Dahlia and Black Rose.

Thanks for sharing!

Just finished Nora Robert's Dance of the Gods. I'm glad the third book is coming out soon. For me it helps when a trilogy comes out close together. Since the same 6 characters are in all three it's nice that for once I won't have forgotten what the prior 2 books are all about.

I almost forgot to mention Snowbound by Susan Greene (an ebook from Cobblestone Press)... also another great book. There's one similar to it in the Sugar & Spice anthology and I thought that Susan's was much better.
