Oh...my aching back...

Okay, so I um...threw out my lower back helping get my son's room rearranged and refurnished to support three boys sleeping in there. My family keeps asking me if I'm feeling any better and I reply, "If I don't move." I finally came into the computer 'cuz I was so tired of laying perfectly still in bed and well, I need to work, having spent most of my working hours this week doing family stuff. :)

So, it's a chance to catch up with you all. Which I like. :) And I need to post my blog on Vamps & Scamps and then maybe get some pages in.

Michelle B had an icredible discussion going on this week on Romance by the Blog (link in my sidebar). If you get a chance, hop over and check it out.

I can't wait to see Grid Iron...only I'll have to until I can sit in a movie theater seat without groaning. LOL

Any movies you all are loving or looking forward to seeing right now?

Aw Lucy, having hurt my back by pinching a nerve, I can relate. Don't try to do too much, take care of yourself!
As for movies, I want to see the Black Dahlia. It looks interesting, and I love mysteries.

Hace a pinched sciatic nerve, so can sympathize with you.
I very seldom watch a movie.

Ooh, I'm so sorry about your back! Fingers crossed it heals up quickly. Rest, then some healthy back exercises once you have clearance.

As for movies, we still haven't seen Invincable. And I'd like to see both Hollywoodland and Black Dahlia. My boys, of course, want to see Jackass 2. Since they are 12 and 9... ummm... NO.

Youch! So sorry about your back. Been there, hate doing that. Hope you feel better soon.

With three young 'uns, we rarely get to see movies in the theater, but I'd like to see Invincible, and Flags of our Fathers. Oh, and The Guardian, even though they totally stole my title. :P

But for a good movie on DVD to watch while you heal, I highly recommend Akeelah and the Bee. Watched it with my girls last weekend, and loved it! I even blogged about it. Exceptional film.

I hurt my back a few weeks ago and it was miserable. It was the first time I've had a back injury and I hope it was my last. Hope you feel better soon.

Can't really think of anything at the movie theater I want to see. I do want to rent The Lake House which comes out on Friday. I think it looks great.

Lucy, sorry you're in pain. I hope you feel better soon.

I just saw "Black Dahlia" last weekend and was somewhat disappointed. I do want to see "Hollywoodland" though. Other than that, nothing's caught my eye. It seems like it's feast or famine out there these days...

Oh man! Lucy so sorry about your back.
Movies? What are those? Wait! Wait! I remember! Really expensive, dark, stale popcorn with butter flavored oil--it's all coming back to me now.....
I hope you get to the theater to see "Grid Iron".
Do you have a thing for The Rock?

Lucy sorry about your back. I can sympathize with your pain, since I have two discs degenerating in my lower back and have pain constantly. Please do take care of yourself.

As for movies, I don't go to the theatres because it is so expensive to get in. But I am waiting for Cars to come out on DVD which is supposed to be the beginning of November. There are a couple of other DVD's that I have on my wish list.......

Hugs,
Cryna

I see I am not the only one who can relate to back problems. Had trouble with back muscle spasms and found only one position laying down without pain. As a result I had to sit up and FORCE my self to eat ice cream so that I could quickly lay down again.
I haven't gone to the movies in years but The Guardian does look interesting.

I'm sorry to hear about your back Lucy!

I'm looking forward to seeing The Illusionist with Edward Norton, and The Prestige with Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman. Both movies are about magic!

Sorry to hear about your back! I can sympathize since I have sciatica and being in my 36th month of pregnancy it is really aggravated. I can't sleep well at night because of back, hip and leg pain. During the day it is getting really hard to get around. As for movies, I can't think of any movies I want to see in the theater. With my baby due October 10th that's really all I can concentrate on.

Movies that I'm loving? Well, I've been to see the second Pirates of the Caribbean movie 4 times already, so I guess that means I'm in love with Jack Sparrow again... What do you think? Possible? LOL

I am very sorry to hear you're in pain, Lucy, but hope it's very short-lived. Back pain is an absolute nightmare, she writes with far too much personal experience...

Take care and consider yourself hugged, though not to hard, of course, gotta keep it gentle on the aching back.

Talk to you soon, hon!!

Lucy,

So sorry about your back! I hope the kids appreciate all of the hard work that you did to get the rooms ready for them.

I haven't been to the movies in years. I either watch movies on plane rides or buy the DVD.

Okay...I am so out of the loop because half the movies mentioned, I'd never even heard of. Need to fix that. A woman cannot live by computer alone. LOL

Though...Vivi...my daugh went to see "The Illusionist" last night and really liked it.

Jen...I think The Rock is yummy...could be his resemblance to dh of course. LOL

Hugs to all!!

I'm so not a movie person. I think the last movie I saw at the theatre was X-Men 3. I wanted to go see the new Pirates of the Carribean... but I never made it to the theatre. Oh well.

I honestly can say that I have no idea what is in the theatres now or what is coming out soon.

I never go to the movies and watch them when they com out on DVD. I can't wait for Pirates and X-Men 3

Sorry to hear your having back problem's Lucy. It is so painful and as others have posted a all to common health problem.Every other day I am using my heating pad,I wish it would velcro to my painful spots,it would be a lot easier that's for sure. More people every year miss work because of back problems than from anything else! Take it easy Lucy and no more lifting, that's why men are around, lol. take care.

It REALLY does sound like a lot of us share this whole back pain issue. Bummer, but you know...we can comfort each other. :)

Lucy sorry to hear about your back. I used to work with a lady that threw her back out fairly often, had to lay perfectly still for days. Yikes.

I haven't seen a movie in ages. Really don't know whats out there.

Ouch! Back problems are no fun. I always had a sore ack with my pregnancies. I hope that you are feeling better by now. I know I am a bit behind on these posts.
Grid Iron. Hmm, is that the one with The Rock? Yummy!
