Dancing on the ceiling...

And still trying to meet that oh so challenging deadline. :)

But I had to share!!!  The Prince's Virging Wife is #1 on this week's Border's Group (includes Waldenbooks, Borders & Brentano's nationwide) Top 10 Series Romance Bestsellers.  And drum roll, please...but...And Able is #6 on the single title list! I'm so jazzed about this because the #1 slot is always a total honor and I've never had one of my single titles hit this list before!  Isn't that so cool?

Ethan and Beth's book is coming along, but this man can really be dense at times.  He's pretty much brilliant about everything but Beth.  It just cracks me up.  And Beth is discovering she's far from the shy dreamer she's always allowed herself to be. :)

Also, a quickie book pimp, but if you like chick lit, Shanna Swendson's newest is out.  Once Upon Stilettos is the second in her series with protagonist Katie Chandler.

Hugs,
Lucy

Hey Lucy! I wondered how your deadline was coming along, glad to know you're still alive and kicking butt on the computer. =)

I read The Prince's Virgin Wife this weekend, but I haven't had a chance to review it yet. I will say that I loved it, but I fell the ending was a little rushed. Of course, you know from previous conversations that I have short story issues, so that shouldn't suprise you. LOL

CONGRATS about And Able, too! I CANNOT wait to read it. I keep hoping beyond hope that Amazon will 'accidentally' ship it out early. Not likely, but a girl can dream, right? hehehe

Yeah Lucy! I'm so happy for you! That's a major achievement!!

Thanks, Chickie-poohs! I was way thrilled. :) And Holly...of course it wasn't rushed. That was just your bias. Really. Could I write a rushed ending? On purpose? Never. ROFLOL

Congrats on the great news, Lucy! And I'm glad you're making progress on the book:)

Great news Lucy! I am not surprised to see your books on those lists.

I can't wait to read the books. I finally read the excerpt for "And Able" and am looking forward to the sparks between the two of them. I am willing to bet that Hotwire won't know what "hit him."

By the way, I can't imagine you rushing any endings -- especially not the way some HP authors used to and some continue to do today.

Lidia :-)

Yay! I don't read the category books, but I have read the other 2 in the mercenary series. And just because I don't do the other doesn't mean I'm not happy for you. Way to go to one of my favorite authors! Can't wait for "And Able" to be out!

Woo-hoo, Lucy!

Finished The Prince's Virgin Wife last night, and loved, loved, loved it! It was fabulous. I'm so glad it's getting the recognition it deserves!

And "And Able" (okay, that was tough to write so that it made sense) rocks, too. Congrats on making the lists with these two excellent books!

Thanks, all! Both were solidly on Bookscan too, so that's another nice bit of news in my deadline dementia. :)

Congrats on the The Prince's Virgin Wife and And Able. I am waiting for my copy of Able. It is taking forever!! Patience isnt one of my best qualities!! I'll have to look for Prince's Virgin Wife. I havent read that one yet.

LOL Kelley...B&N.com are the ones notorious for shipping early. :) Next time, you'll have to pre-order there. ;-) And thanks!!!

Congrats on the Prince's Virging Wife! (Is that anything like a virgin wife?) *bg* And on And Able!

I adored both books and totally understand why they ranked so high - you go, Lucy girl!

You've been seriously missed but it's understandable. The next book sounds awesome - I loved the glimpses of Ethan we've had so far.

Lori S, I also wondered what a virging wife was - maybe you gotta be married to understand it LOL.

LOL Lori and Stacy! I didn't even notice the typo, but I'm leaving it because it cracks me up. And thanks for the congrats and nice comments from you both!

Well - I have NO patience. Which should come as no surprise to anyone who knows me. Amazon was taking too long and I happened across And Able in B&N last night so I snatched it up.

it's up at the top of the TBR pile!

Maura, I found a copy of And Able at B&N, too...I'm so excited to read it! Maybe tonight, we'll see.

Lucy, I finally put up my review of The Prince's Virgin Wife. You can read it here.

Hugs,
Holly

LOL Maura...you are a woman after my own heart. But you knew that. ;-) I've done the very same thing...more than once.

Holly...thanks tons for the very cool review! You and your love/hate relationship with the shorter book. I'm just glad you read mine. :) But the honest fact is that some stories simply are that long. If I tried to write that story in a single title, it would not work for me. The same with novellas. They are what they are because they are that and that alone. (And if that made sense to you - worry! LOL) And remember, the other books are out one after the other - so only a few weeks to wait, rather than months.

Holly said...

yes, I know, but it FEELS like months, doesn't it? LOL

Actually, I do know what you mean (I think..which DOES worry me a little..haha). I understand the need to write shorter stories sometimes. I would probably be very disappointed if you'd tried to squeeze all three stories into one title. I'm just pickly like that...and a very, very impatient wench. I like to read about it NOW! LOL

I was very pleased with TPVW, though, so I can see why it's doing so well.

Holly

Well Girlfriend, I finally found out you have a BLOG!!! (I spend so much time over at RBTB - I forget to even look at my own sometimes!! LOL)

What great news about that #1 position! It couldn't happen to a nicer person.

I sure hope you're gonna be in Atlanta so we can hang for a drink or meal or something.

Hugs, Monica

Oh almost forgot! Did you make the deadline! I understand that kinda pressure.

Lucy Monroe said...

LOL Holly...I understand impatience. WHEN is the next Christine Feehan book going to be out? I know, but my brain keeps rebelling at the wait. :)

Kelley...oh, that is just wrong. I'm waiting on my book club copies too (I always buy some so I can give one to my mom, etc.), but I'm not waiting to read the book. Hope you like TPVW...I happen to really approve your mission. LOL

Monica...babe! Great to see you here. I love your posts on RBTB and we are of course "YVBB" sisters. LOL The deadline? See my next blog post...

Hugs to ALL,
Lucy :)

I just finished reading Able and it is an excellent read. I even found myself bringing it to work so I could read a few chapters on my lunch hour. I was up until 4 am after I started it because I just did not want to put it down. Then I realized I would need a least 2 hrs of sleep before going to work. lol lol I love your work Lucy! Thank you for being such an excellent read....
